I bought some acrylics, indian ink, and bark paper yesterday to use for my paintings and ink sketches. I’m SO EXCITED to start on them! But I have a week-and-a-half to do them… Not a lot of time at all… Heh.

Future Art Rambles

I’m going to be painting acrylics and maybe one or two oils for my “Spirits”, and I’ll also be doing some ink on papyrus/rice paper. I hope I can find some indian ink because I adore that stuff.

I’m doing my “Spirits” collection to sell in New Mexico in a few weeks, and I have a few paintings planned out already, but I’m wondering if I should go a slightly different path with them? Like drawing dreamcatchers and symbols to go along with my more detailed paintings?

We’ll see.

  • Film an idea or two
  • Finish my “Spirits” series paintings
  • Draw my comic ideas/flesh out g. novel
  • Bike or walk somewhere every day
  • Discover new seasonal summer foods & drinks
  • Sketch one “public-worthy” drawing every day

Got out of those shoes.

Banquet was especially awesome this year. I’m very pleased with all of the awards and nominations and costumes/tuxedos/dresses everyone came in. And I’m especially proud of my boyfriend, who received a rare and special award for all of his hard work.

Only, I wish I could see him now. But that moment under the tree was nice. Really… really nice.

Dear HONY,
I wanted to contact you about a Human of New York who passed away this weekend. Aidan Seeger was a 7 year old Brooklyn boy, son of Bobby and Elisa Seeger, who own Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn. Aidan suffered from a rare degenerative brain disease called ALD. Mostly this blue eyed boy represented what is best about New York. His childhood was filled with Coney Island, L&B pizza, trips to Prospect Park to feed the ducks, and Italian ices at Uncle Luigi’s.He walked around Brooklyn with all the confidence of a grown man, he charmed strangers and was called the RULER because he ruled NY. He will be greatly missed.
Thank you for your time,Gina
