I bought some acrylics, indian ink, and bark paper yesterday to use for my paintings and ink sketches. I’m SO EXCITED to start on them! But I have a week-and-a-half to do them… Not a lot of time at all… Heh.

I think I’m becoming a recluse.
I’m going to be painting acrylics and maybe one or two oils for my “Spirits”, and I’ll also be doing some ink on papyrus/rice paper. I hope I can find some indian ink because I adore that stuff.
I’m doing my “Spirits” collection to sell in New Mexico in a few weeks, and I have a few paintings planned out already, but I’m wondering if I should go a slightly different path with them? Like drawing dreamcatchers and symbols to go along with my more detailed paintings?
We’ll see.
It is the 16th of May, Kr-to-the-is!
Banquet was especially awesome this year. I’m very pleased with all of the awards and nominations and costumes/tuxedos/dresses everyone came in. And I’m especially proud of my boyfriend, who received a rare and special award for all of his hard work.
Only, I wish I could see him now. But that moment under the tree was nice. Really… really nice.
Apocalypse, earthquake, flood, buildings, sun, gamma, burn, survivors, death of a loved one.
Take a minute and step outside.
Really, it’s something incredible.
Dear HONY,
I wanted to contact you about a Human of New York who passed away this weekend. Aidan Seeger was a 7 year old Brooklyn boy, son of Bobby and Elisa Seeger, who own Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn. Aidan suffered from a rare degenerative brain disease called ALD.
Mostly this blue eyed boy represented what is best about New York. His childhood was filled with Coney Island, L&B pizza, trips to Prospect Park to feed the ducks, and Italian ices at Uncle Luigi’s.
He walked around Brooklyn with all the confidence of a grown man, he charmed strangers and was called the RULER because he ruled NY. He will be greatly missed.
Thank you for your time,
Gina
